The Tagore Centre UK and SOAS will hold a memorial event for Dr. William Radice – scholar, poet, and renowned Tagore translator – to honor his contributions to Bengali literature and culture.
Dr. William Radice, scholar, poet, and Professor of Bengali at SOAS, passed away in 2024. A noted translator of Tagore’s works and longtime supporter of The Tagore Centre UK, he played a key role in promoting Bengali literature and culture. To honor his contributions, The Tagore Centre UK and SOAS will hold a memorial event featuring talks and music.
The gathering will reflect on his academic work, translations, and dedication to cultural exchange.
